The Full Story
About
LIFExTalks is founded, designed, and operated by TSgt Michael R. Yearby, Propulsion Section Chief stationed at Barksdale AFB. LIFExTalks is devoted to spreading video messages worth hearing, usually in the form of short talks (20 minutes or less). LIFExTalks began in 2022 as an initiative for the U.S. Air Force where Leaders, Innovators, Family Members & Counselors, and Educators converged, and today covers almost all topics in military communities. The letter "x" in LIFExTalks is like the algebraic value or variable which means it is not yet known. In life, there are a lot of variables, but we can't live in fear of them. We have to reveal them, talk about them, and work them out as we go through our life journey.

Mission
LIFExTalks is designed to improve Airmen resiliency, life skills, relationships, communication and engagement with leadership at all levels by providing professional and personal development to our service members, retirees, and military families worldwide. As a global community, we welcome military members and affiliates from every branch of service, career field, discipline, and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the military communities. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and, ultimately, the ever-evolving workplace. On LIFExtalks.com, we're building a platform of free knowledge for the military communities to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at LIFExTalks events.

Vision
Spread messages worth hearing to the global military community by developing in-person & virtual conferences so Airmen from diverse career fields can connect, programs & courses so Airmen can form themselves into problem solvers, and support groups so Airmen can hold each other accountable and heal from mental as well as physical wounds.

Call to Action
This platform is unique in its approach to engaging with veterans and their families. LIFExTalks provide a space for everyone to ask questions and learn from the experiences of those who have served or are currently serving. It's also a place for everyone to share their stories and connect with others who understand what they've been through. If you're interested in getting involved in the conversation, please email contact@lifextalks.com or share your thoughts on social media using #LIFExTalks.
