September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and Sept. 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day, with the theme of “Creating Hope Through Action.” In light of these awareness days, it is essential to discuss how we can raise awareness of military members (veterans, active duty, guards, reservists, and military families), as they are at a higher risk for suicide. There are many ways to raise awareness of this critical issue. For example, we can host events that bring attention to the problem of military suicide and provide information on how to get help. We can also distribute resources that explain the warning signs of suicide and how to get help. Additionally, we can create public service announcements or social media campaigns that spread the word about these critical days and the importance of suicide prevention. By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who serve our country. #wesupportyou #spamchallenge
